XING, a social network for business professionals, is the latest to hop on the dividend train. The company announced this morning that, following a meeting of the XING AG Executive Board, the company has approved its first-ever payment of a dividend. XING shareholders are now entitled to receive a dividend of�?0.56 per share on June 15, 2012, which equates to a total dividend payment of about ?3 million.The proposal was first submitted to the Supervisory Board at a meeting held on February 29th, 2012, which fell under XING’s 2011 fiscal year. Ailing Metacafe acquired by a Hollywood agency specializing in YouTube stars

We’re hearing that Metacafe, the not-quite-as-successful-as-YouTube video site, has been bought by The Collective, a full-service entertainment management company in Hollywood.
All Things D is reporting the deal is “essentially completed.” Terms of the deal, including the fate of Metacafe itself as a destination, have not yet been disclosed.
The Collective already has experience in online video; it represents and manages the “talent” behind YouTube hits such as the Annoying Orange, iJustine, Shane Dawson, Freddie Wong, and Lucas Cruikshank, a.k.a. Freddie Figgelhorn.

Mozilla Is Building A “Simple” iPad Browser Called Junior

Last week, Mozilla’s Product Design Strategy team quietly announced a few new projects including something called Junior, a Webkit browser for the iPad with no tabs or search bars. Instead, it uses simple gestures and a simplified UI to change the way we work with the web.
To browse the web you press one of three buttons – forward, back, and a plus that displays a list of recent sites, bookmarks, and a search bar. The rest of the page is pure web.

Pulse’s jump into video channels sets a new standard for digital magazine apps

Pulse, a customized news aggregation service for mobile devices, is adding support for video content, the company announced today.
Most video aggregation/curation services I’ve experienced are either really good at collecting content that can be viewed elsewhere, or they are awesome at playing videos from multiple services, but not at collecting it automatically. The Pulse team seems to understand the necessity to have both of these components, even if you can’t get every video source on the Internet immediately.
