Gartner Predicts Huge Rise in Monitoring of Employees' Social Media Use

Corporations are starting to embrace technologies used to monitor employee Internet use, with 60 percent expected to watch workers' social media use for security breaches by 2015, according to a new report from Gartner.
Less than 10 percent of companies now monitor their employees' use of Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and other social media sites for security breaches, although many companies monitor social media for brand management and marketing purposes, said the report, released Tuesday.

For all the successes of Google’s Website Translator, it’s easy to forget that the effort is still a major work in progress.
The latest addition to the project allows website owners to customize the way the service works on their pages. The feature, which in true Google style is in beta, allows website owners to tweak Google’s output and improve it when necessary.
Google has been offering website visitors the ability to suggest better translations since 2007. With the new system, however, Google is streamlining this process, allowing visitors the ability to suggest translations that site owners can accept and use directly.

SpaceX Dragon splashes down this morning, watch NASA’s coverage live

The final act of SpaceX’s first mission to the International Space Station, a groundbreaking accomplishment for private space travel, is set to occur this morning as the Dragon capsule splashes down in the Pacific Ocean.
According to NASA’s schedule, the Dragon is expected to splashdown around 11:44 a.m. EDT hundreds of miles off the coast of California. While we likely won’t get television coverage of the Dragon hitting the ocean, there will still likely be plenty of interesting commentary on NASA TV (starting around 10:15 a.m. EDT).
