LibreOffice Gets a Huge Speed Boost

LibreOffice has been nothing if not an active and vibrant project since it was forked from OpenOffice.org back in 2010; and it was just a few months ago that we saw the debut of LibreOffice 3.5, the software's third major release.
Several smaller updates have come out since then, but on Wednesday a new one was launched that looks truly notable.
Specifically, a fresh shot of speed appears to be the most defining feature in this new software, which promises to be as much as 100 percent faster than earlier versions were.

Amazon-Owned LOVEFiLM, The Netflix Of Europe, Signs Streaming Deal With NBCUniversal

In the midst of Amazon’s recent moves to rapidly grow its content collection on Amazon Prime Instant Video, the company has also been brokering deals for another one of its video properties: European Netflix competitor LOVEFiLM. Today, the company is announcing a new multi-year deal with NBCUniversal International Television Distribution, which will offer LOVEFiLM members access to streaming titles from Universal Pictures during the second pay window.

Update: The United Nations is sending out a warning to member countries about cyberwar tool Flame.
Iran has confirmed the presence of a new and highly complex piece of malware targeted at Middle Eastern countries. The virus, called Flame, is said to be as worrisome as Stuxnet, which plagued Iranian nuclear systems in 2010.
“This malware is a platform which is capable of receiving and installing various modules for different goals,” Iran’s CERTCC said in a blog post. “The research on these samples implies that the recent incidents of mass data loss in Iran could be the outcome of some installed module of this threat.”

For me, I will definitely buy Samsung Galaxy S3. Being a Celcom user, planned to buy it with Celcom Samsung Galaxy S3 package. But the nearest Celcom Samsung Galaxy S3 Roadshow is at Ipoh, Perak. That’s 3 hours driving distance from my town. So I made several calls to Celcom customer service to ask any Samsung Galaxy S3 stock at Penang and Sungai Petani branch. Guess what? They said only roadshows has stock now and not available on any other Celcom branches. And no idea when it will have stock on Celcom branches.
